My name is Karen Sadek and for the past several months I have taken one-on-one classes with Osama Youssef. Osama proved to be a very good teacher in many ways. He was always punctual, but at the same time flexible with my schedule. He never had a problem with rescheduling a class and was willing to work with our time-zone differences. He came prepared and was always trying to improve his teaching methods. He tailored the lessons to fit my needs as a student. When I came unprepared or forgot a word, he was consistently patient. As a teacher myself, I appreciated Osama’s professional attitude and seriousness about his subject matter. I can tell he is well-versed in his field. I am a teacher at one of the London University and father of 2 sons, 15 and 12 – years – old. All of us have been learning Quran online from Osama Youssef of Egypt for the past 2 years. Osama is a highly knowledgeable teacher with excellent command of English. He has versatile and systematic teaching methodology which keeps the learner engaged. He shares lots of anecdotal examples from the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) relating to the ayat of Quran we recite to emphasize its importance. He shows extreme patience, one of the most important quality being a teacher. He starts with basic Tajweed rules, again emphasizing by giving examples from Quran. He then leads the learner to understand names of various parts of mouth and throat so that the learner can understand correct pronunciation, MAKHARAJ (Exit) of each letter. Once the learner had understood the basics, Mr Osama then introduces difficult concepts like the SIFAATS (characteristics) of each letter. He spots the mistakes in Tajweed straightaway and does not stop correcting us. Mr Osama also helps my sons in memorizing Quran. We are extremely thankful to Allah to have been given an opportunity to learn the Quran from a learned teacher like Osama.
