What are ten Qirats?

The ten Qirats do not have the same vocabulary and different styles, instead, this is a slight difference in pronunciation, literature, and Harakat. It is like comparing two different books of the Quran and finding the differences between them. To better understand this, we must go back to the times of the Prophet (PBUH) and the history of Islam. The people in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were illiterate and had their own national language like any other language. As in the case of British and American English. There are differences in spelling and pronunciation. It was then that they had various languages such as the Quraish which was the tribe of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the Yamen language, the Hudair language, and many others. These languages have little variation but without a change in meaning.

Here are 2 Hadiths in this:

1) Ibn ‘Abbas reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said, Jibreel read the Qur’an to me with one harp, and I returned it to him, but I asked him to increase (the number of harps) and he continued to raise it for me until we stood at seven Ahruf.” Ibn Shihaab az-Zuhree (d. 124 AH), one of the narrators of hadeeth, said, “It has come to me that these seven Ahrufs are one and the same (by definition), no different from what is permitted or forbidden.”

2) ‘Ubay ibn Ka’ab reported that the Prophet (PBUH) was once on the outskirts of the city of Madeenah (near the tribe of Banoo Ghifaar) when Jibreel came to him and said, “Allaah has commanded you to recite the Qur’an to your people in one harp.” ) he replied, “I apologize to Allaah! My people can’t do this! “Jibreel also came and said,” Allaah has commanded you to recite the Qur’an to your people in two Ahruf. ” The Prophet (PBUH) replied, “I beg your pardon of Allaah! My people cannot do this!” He replied for the third time, “I apologize to Allaah! My people cannot do this!” they will be right.

3) ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab described, “I was inactive in the masjid when I heard Hishaam ibn Hakeem narrate Soorah al-Forgan. I was nearly about the hurdle on him in his prayer, but I delayed until he finished, and then gripped him by his garment and questioned him, ‘Who trained you to recite in such a method?’” He answered, ‘It remained the Prophet (PBUH) himself!’ I replied, ‘You are incorrect, for indeed I scholarly this Surat  from the Prophet (PBUH) and it was unlike from your narration!’ Therefore, I pulled him to the Prophet (PBUH) and criticized him that Hishaam had recited Soorah al-Furqaan in a manner different from what he (PBUH) had trained me. At this, the Prophet (PBUH) said to me to let the spirit of Hishaam and asked him to narrate Soorah al-Furqaan. Hishaam recited the Soorah in a similar method I had heard of him previously. When he over, the Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘It was exposed this way.’ He then asked me to narrate a similar Surat. When I had finished, he (PBUH) said, ‘It was also revealed this way. Really, the Qur’an has been revealed in seven unlike Ahruf, so recite either one is easy for you.
